Our Main Sports Hall has a seating capacity of 1000 people.
The Main Sports Hall can be used free of charge by all ITU members and students during the "Open Work Hours." Basketball, volleyball, table tennis, handball, and indoor soccer can be played in our hall.
Please check the "Weekly Hall Program" before planning your activities. Please read the necessary rules to be followed in the hall. Every guest using the Main Sports Hall is obliged to comply with these rules.
The Main Sports Hall serves ITU students, academic and administrative staff from 09:00 to 21:00 throughout the week.
RULES TO BE FOLLOWED IN INDOOR SPORTS HALLS
- All ITU students can use the sports halls free of charge during the "Open Work Hours."
- It is recommended that all users consult a doctor and obtain approval before starting sports activities. Those with any health problems that may cause issues during exercise must inform the responsible personnel before using the facility.
- The university cannot be held responsible for any health problems that may arise from engaging in sports activities.
- Considering that physical education classes and training sessions are held in the halls, please check the "Weekly Hall Program" before planning your activities.
- Suitable sportswear (tracksuit, shorts, t-shirt, sports shoes, etc.) must be worn in the hall. Proper sports shoes must be worn in the designated sports areas. Shoes worn outside, even if they are sports shoes, cannot be used in the hall without being cleaned. Boots, sandals, or slippers are not allowed for sports activities in the hall.
- Activities such as hanging on the basketball hoop, playing with the weight system, or moving the basketball hoop should not be performed.
- Activities such as hanging on the volleyball net or removing the net posts should not be performed.
- Assistance from the hall attendant should be sought for the installation of basketball or volleyball equipment.
- Kicking the volleyball or basketball with the foot is not allowed.
- Students and staff who want to use the hall for sports activities can borrow the necessary equipment (basketball, volleyball, handball, futsal ball, etc.) from the hall attendant by presenting their identification.
- Users must place their belongings in locked lockers and should not bring them into the hall.
- Users are responsible for any damage caused to the equipment used in the sports hall and its surroundings, and they are obliged to cover any resulting financial losses.
- The hall attendant is responsible for enforcing the rules and managing the hall. Every user must comply with the warnings and instructions given by the attendant.
- Users who do not comply with the rules will be asked to leave the hall, and those who display inappropriate behavior will be recorded and subject to disciplinary action.
